Tomorrow is my husband's last day with his current employer. For all intents and purposes, he has no employer over the weekend (sure hope there aren't any emergencies!), and he starts with the same job but new employer on Monday. The takeover company's lawyers won't let the bosses have any contact with the employees yet, so John doesn't have a clue what the new situation will be. Hoping and praying for the best...
Still no news about John's job. Supposed to hear by next Tuesday afternoon now. They keep stringing it out...
Word went around John's workplace yesterday that the official new job offers will be in place by Wednesday of next week. Everyone will be offered a job, but it may not be the same job, and it may not be in the same location. Not stated but understood: it may not be for the same pay. I love anticipation. Or maybe not.
Today's the day the official transfer is supposed to take place in the corporate takeover at John's workplace. I'm thinking I prefer pins and needles when I'm not on them!
Swine flu has arrived at our house, and we are entering week 2 of fighting it as a family. Still in week 1 for me personally. I think I'd have to die to feel better. Oof. Back later when the brain is hopefully working again!
An announcement was made on Monday of this week that the company where my husband works has been purchased.

Lots of water, but that is overshadowed by the morons that are canoing on the river right now. I counted at least twenty of them so far today, including one canoe with a toddler in it. What a bunch!
